Peter I. Wold,
President
Mr. Wold was born in 1948 and grew up in Casper, Wyoming. He attended Williston Academy, graduated with a Biological Science degree from Colorado State University in 1971. Currently, Mr. Wold is actively involved in the management of numerous Wold Company ventures and serves as the President of Wold Oil Properties, Inc. He also serves as the Vice President of American Talc, a west Texas open pit mining and milling operation that produces industrial grade talc that is primarily used in the cermic tile industry and is the largest single talc mine in the United States. He is also the managing partner of Hole-in-the-Wall Ranch, a cattle-ranching operation located at the south end of the Big Horn Mountains on the Middle Fork of the Powder River. Peter is the Managing Director of Whirlwind, LLC a wind development company with multiple wind sites across Wyoming that are in various stages of development.
Mr. Wold presently serves as the chairman on the Governor's Enhanced Oil Recovery Task Force. He is an active member of the Wyoming Association of Professional Landmen (WAPL), the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Independent Petroleum Association of Rocky Mountain States (IPAMS). In February 2005, Mr. Wold was appointed by Governor Dave Freudenthal to server a three-year term on the newly created Enhanced and Improved Oil Recovery Institute. The commission which oversees the work of the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute, an
adjunct of the University of Wyoming that will help to develop programs to assess enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technology and research in recovery processes. Mr. Wold will represent the Oil and Gas Industry.
