Stephen P. Morzenti, Chief Operating Officer
From 1971 to 1983, he was in metals exploration, mine project evaluation, mine construction and operations in zinc, copper, and uranium with Exxon Minerals Company. His experience included projects in the U.S., Australia and Chile. From 1983 to 1984, he was in Corporate planning with Exxon. From 1984 to 1997, he was Vice President of Operations and Development for Power Resources, Inc. responsible for permitting, engineering, construction and operation of the largest in situ uranium mine in the world. In those years, Power Resources peaked as the larges producer of Uranium in the U.S. and its reserve base was increased 5 times. He was a key member of the team that sold Power Resources in 1998. Since 1997, Morzenti has consulted on mining projects in the U.S. and overseas. He joined the Wold Companies in 2000 and has been involved in gas exploration, trona, talc and coal projects. Mr. Morzenti is past Director and President of the Wyoming Mining Association, President of the Wyoming Section of the Society of Mining Engineers, and served in Lehigh University's Curriculum Advisory Board. He is a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists, member of SME, and Society of Professional Engineers. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (Mining) and a Registered Professional Geologist. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with High Honors and a Master of Science from Lehigh University. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi and Signma Xi.
